I integrate Traditional Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, moxibustion and cupping,  with select modalities and theories that have their origin in Osteopathy. These are applied within the context of the Hakomi Method, a mindfulness based practice that brings attention to body felt experience. My   acupuncture style is grounded in the Master Tung lineage as taught bySusan Johnson L.Ac. ; the principle student of Miriam Lee LA.c as well as a student of Dr. Wei-Chieh Young. More recent explorations have been with Engaging Vitality, the work of Dan Bensky, Chip Chace and Marguerite Dinkins. This is a meta-model that marries Osteopathic principals with Traditional East Asian Medicine.(TEAM). TEAM is a broad term that includes TCM as well as the Traditional Medicines of other East Asian countries. In 2019 I began studying a beautifully elegant, yet powerful, system called Sa'am . Practiced by wandering Buddhist monks in Korea, Sa'am is over 400 years old.   I studied Biodynamic Cranial Touch, completing a program with Charles Ridley in 2006. In 2020 I completed the "Touch of Presence" program with Giorgia Milne.  I am still a student of Cranial Sacral Therapy, having begun studying the Visionary Cranial Sacral system of Hugh Milne D.O., in 2003. my principle teacher in this work is Steve Schumacher, a local legend and master practitioner in Louisville, KY. Many different people and practices have influenced me, including the people I've had the privilege of treating over the last 20*+ years. This is truly a labor of love and the learning is ongoing.
